Te Pou Tūā Rongo-marae-roa – The Heart of Existence

Rongo-marae-roa is also one of the sons of Rangi and Papa (Heaven and Earth); he would be carved from Pounamu(Greenstone), the powerful mauri (life essence) holder of land of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Rongo-marae-roa represents peace and the unity of humanity with all the creatures of Mother Earth and Sky Father; he is depicted blowing the sacred flute carved by our brothers from the native tribes of America The Nine Feathers Kauri Flute. This flute was carved from swamp kauri that is over a million years old, and was carved to invoke peace on the earth. The stained glass window behind him represents the colour of the Kūmara, a traditional symbol of peace, because if you are keeping the gardens, you are not at war. The Rainbow shows the pathway to the Tōhunga Uenuku-rangi ancient keepers of Esoteric knowledge, guarded by the kaitiaki manaia (guardians and protectors) for where great knowledge is given, great responsibility is required. The crop circle to the left which overlay the ancient flower of life pattern, points the way to the underlying messages of mysterious phenomena, which seems to be to encourage humanity to pursue a sustainable unified global civilisation, free from the tyrannical control of hidden powers. Spiritual Totem: Kūmara (sweet potato), Pounamu (new Zealand Greenstone/jade) Weapon: Toki Pounamu – Greenstone Adze
